Prepare for another cougar attack

According to the Ausiello Report, "24" has STILL not learned from the mistakes of their past.  They've had a full year to brainstorm awesome ideas to redeem themselves from the trainwreck that was Season 6 and/or The Day That Jack Bauer Probably Should've Died.

While producers have made some positive announcements regarding the new season, ie, the return of supposedly dead characters Tony Almeida and Nixonesque President Logan, their latest casting news is not so cheery. 

Elisha Cuthbert, who has been kidnapped, kidnapped someone else, been attacked by a cougar, held hostage by Johnny Drama, had her boyfriend's hand chopped off, inexplicably got a job at CTU and then quit to date C. Thomas Howell, is coming back to the show with a mini-Bauer in tow. 

Fans of the show are never more vocal than announcing their hatred for little Kim Bauer.  So why would a show that's having to work overtime to win their audience back return to a character that provokes such hatred.  My suggestion?  Give Chloe more than two lines this season and find a way to bring Edgar back from the dead.  Easy, smart and so much better than cougar attack number 2.
